No one knows exactly when Morris dancing began, but what we do know for sure is that this English folk dance tradition has been appropriated and well-loved by people of all stripes for centuries.
We invite you to join Lane County’s first Morris side on Thursday evenings from 6:15 to 8:15. When the weather is nice and the days are long we practice at the gazebo in the Owens Memorial Rose Garden(300 N Jefferson St). When the weather is not so nice and the days are short we practice indoors in the Atrium Building downtown (99 W 10th Ave, Eugene).
